Very early on Monday, we experienced a broken water pipe at our downtown Rochester Sterling State Bank location (102 S Broadway). Water damage impacted the ground floor and basement areas and those levels will be closed temporarily for clean-up and repair. Our operations and IT functions that support our entire branch network was not critically impacted.
Sterling State Bank's Twin Cities locations (Apple Valley, Lakeville, and Savage) opened for business on Monday. Due to road closures and extreme weather conditions, all Austin and Rochester branches remained closed.
Sterling State Bank President, Justin McNeilus, shared the following comments, "I want to express our deep gratitude to the individuals who responded to this incident in adverse weather conditions. I also want to thank our staff who overcame difficult road conditions to make sure our Bank opened for business on Monday. I look forward to reopening retail banking operations at our downtown Rochester location as soon as clean-up is complete."
